Let’s focus on damlines !
Focus on the damlines of the last auction of 2018!
The differences between studbooks are getting less and less because a breeder in Italy is using the same stallion as in Sweden. The quality of the motherline was already always very important but it becomes more and more important. Let’s take a look at a selection of marelines that will have offspring in the coming Ekestrian Elite Auction.
NORM, Hannover Stutenstamm 2192107, Schridde 381 The damline of Kashmir van Schuttershof descends from Hannover. This stallion has jumped at 1m60 under the saddle of Philippe le Jeune, his full sister Sissi van Schuttershof jumped also at 1m60 under the saddle of Jur Vrieling. Both horses are by Nabab de Reve. Kashmir van Schuttershof has produced an outstanding amount of jumpers like: H&M Indiana (Malin Baryard-Johnsson), Reveur de Hurtebise HDC (Kevin Staut), Fedor (Scott Keach), Silver Deux de Virton HDC (Kevin Staut) and Loro Piana Boyante de Muze (Philippe le Jeune). Valentina van Schuttershof is another full sister and she has a filly by Ustinov in the auction.
MA POMME, French damline: Family 94 The damline of Ma Pomme is a very interesting damline that is built up carefully by family Brohier. The Olympic champion Nino des Buissonnets (Kannan) under the saddle of Steve Guerdat, also traces back to the mare Ma Pomme. The important SF stallion Fair Play III is a direct son of Ma Pomme. In this lot we have a filly by Untouchable 27 out of Kassave (French Cancan). This mare has also outstanding offspring: the 1m60 jumping stallion Panama Tame (Carthago) under the saddle of Luigi Polesello and Quebec Tame (For Pleasure) 1m60 under the saddle of Benjamin Devulder.
LOUVETTE, French damline: Family 188 The damline of Louvette is nowadays most known because of the incredible mare Ueleme. This mare won under the saddle of Olivier Jouanneteau the World Cup qualification of Bordeaux in 2002, fifth in the World Cup qualification of Millstreet in 1999 and seventh in the World Cup Qualification of Vigo in 2002 to name a few results. This mare has six direct offspring that are jumping at 1m50, to name a few: Helico of Lulu (Royal Feu) under the saddle of Inigo Verdugo Velon, Kaeleme (Trophee du Rozel) Olivier Jouanneteau, Ma p'Tite Lulu (Quidam de Revel) Olivier Jouanneteau. Ueleme her daughter Top Lulu (Quidam de Revel) is jumping at 1m55 under the saddle of Otti Verdu Vidal. Ueleme her grandson Valentino de Hus Z (Vivaldi du Seigneur) is jumping at 1m55 under the saddle of Santiago Nuñez Riva.
SYMPHONIE D'EUSKADI, The damline of Symphonie d’Euskadi (Diamant de Semilly) leads us through several Studbooks like Selle Français, Hannover and Westphalia. What is more important is that this line has been in the hands of great pioneers of warmblood breeding like Leon Melchior (founder of Zangersheide) and Paul Schockemöhle. The half sister of Symphonie d’Euskadi, Rhune d’Euskadi (Dollar du Murier) jumped at 1m60 under the saddle of Marie Demonte. Mother Jade des Fontaines descends of the Olympic Champion Jus de Pomme under saddle of Ulrich Kirchhoff. This mare has also produced the 1m40 jumpers: Quel Amour d’Euskadi (Dollar du Murier) under the saddle of Nicolas Bost, Secret Semilly (Diamant de Semilly) Flore Giraud, Top Price d’Euskadi (Baloubet du Rouet) Charlotte Gastaldi and Vivaldi d’Euskadi (Sandro Boy) is competing at 1m45 under the saddle of Valentine Delaveau. Secret Semilly and Vivaldi d’Euskadi are both SF approved. Article written by Adriana Van Tilburg 12.11.2018
